Course Content
Four (4) hours must relate to the licensee’s area or
areas of practice and four (4) hours
must relate to Chapter 471, Florida Statutes and the rules of the Board, Chapter 61G15,
Florida Administrative Code.
Earn your
Florida Laws and Rules (4 PDH) online from a board approved
provider.
Course Approval
The Board does not pre-approve specific activities or courses.
An activity or course must be presented by a board-approved
provider/sponsor in order for the activity to be accepted.
Sponsor Approval
The
Florida Board does pre-approve providers/sponsors of continuing education
activities.
Each approved course provider is issued a Continuing Education
Provider (CEP) number. Board approved providers
must submit name and license number of attendees, course
number and applicable credits, and date course was
taken.

February 28 of odd years for all engineers

Hours cannot be carried forward into the next
renewal period.
|
It is the licensee’s responsibility to maintain sufficient records
to demonstrate completion of qualifying professional development hours
for at least two licensure cycles (four years).
A signed statement at time of renewal will be submitted listing title, date, location, provider,
area of practice, and number of PDH credits of all qualifying activities. The board will also use
approved provider submitted attendance information for confirmation
demonstrate licensee's compliance .

Exemption from the PDH requirements include new licensee
who have achieved licensure by examination for their first renewal period,
any licensee whose license is placed in retired status shall be exempt
thereafter, and any licensee whose license is placed in inactive status,
for so long as it remains inactive.
