Course Requirements
Course Content
Technical, ethical, or managerial content relevant to the practice of engineering.  "Any qualifying course or activity mush have a "clear purpose and objective which will maintain, improve, or expand the skills and knowledge relevant to the licensee's field of practice.

Accepted activities include (a) engineering practice as a full-time occupation,  (b) completing college or university courses, (c) completing courses awarding CEU credits, (d) attending seminars or in-house programs, (e) authoring, teaching, or presenting courses, presentations, or seminars,  (f) publishing papers, articles, or books, (g) receiving a U.S. patent, or (h) active participation in professional or technical societies.
Course Approval
The Board does not pre-approve specific courses.  Each engineer must determine whether an activity meets the Board's requirements.
Sponsor Approval
The Board does not pre-approve course sponsors.
Online Courses
Online courses are accepted.

There is no limit on the number of hours that can be earned through online continuing education.

PDH Credit Requirement
30 PDH biennially
Renewal Dates
December 31 of odd-numbered years for all engineers
PDH Carryover
A maximum of 15 PDH may be carried forward into the next renewal period.
Record Keeping
The responsibility of maintaining records to be used to support credits claimed is the sole responsibility of the licensee.

The records must be maintained for three years.
Exemptions
Exemption from the PDH requirements must be submitted in writing on forms furnished by the board.  See board rules for more information.
