Technical, ethical, or managerial content
relevant to the practice of engineering.
Accepted activities include (a) completing college courses,
(b) completing courses awarding CEU credits, (c) attending
seminars, classes, or technical presentations, (d) teaching courses, seminars, or technical
presentations, (e) publishing papers, articles, or books, (f)
receiving a U.S. patent, or (g) active participation in
professional or technical societies. See board website for more specific information.
Course Approval
The Board does not pre-approve specific courses. Each engineer must determine whether an activity
meets the Board's requirements.
Sponsor Approval
The Board does not pre-approve course sponsors.

The last day of the month of the licensee's
birth. The year of the renewal is based on the year of initial
licensure. Licensees initially issued in even-numbered years renew in
even-numbered years. Licensees initially issued in odd-numbered years
renew in odd-numbered years.

A maximum of 15 PDH may be carried forward
into the next renewal period.
|
The responsibility of maintaining records
to be used to support credits claimed is the sole responsibility of the licensee.
The records must be maintained for a period of four years.

Exemption from the PDH requirements include new licensees for their
first renewal period, active military duty,
retired status, or proof of disability, illness, or other
extenuating circumstance. Please
refer to the state board's website for specific requirements and
time periods allowed.
